What an incredible summer!  Could we have asked for better weather??  It seems as if those hot and sunny days have suddenly slipped into cool and overcast mornings – just in time for back to school.

While it isn’t time for winter coats, boots, hats and mittens just yet (ugh, I dread the day) it might be time to consider some new fall accessories for your kids!  Send them to the bus stop in a colourful and stylish hat from Loopy 4 Ewe and keep their little ears warm!  These gorgeous hats are made from cotton and custom made, so pick the colours your child loves!

Fabulous Family ~ Ottawa Family Photographer

I had the privledge of photographing Baby S a few months ago – and she was a delight!  But I was thrilled when big sister S and mom and dad joined us this time too!

We had a great time walking through the gardens at the Experimental Farm on a gorgeous sunny afternoon and the girls seemed to enjoyed every minute.  They were so good and so happy to sit for my camera that I had a hard time choosing which photos to post! I know mom has been checking up on the blog for the last few days so without further delay….The Fabulous S Family!

Leslie & Scott ~ Jennifer Bailey Photography

A few weeks ago, I had the amazing opportunity to second shoot a wedding with Ottawa photographer, Nat Bertrand.  Together we enjoyed an incredibly beautiful day at Temple’s Sugar Camp where Leslie & Scott exchanged vows and were married!  The day couldn’t have been more perfect.  These two wonderful people are surrounded by many friends and family who love and support them as was evidenced throughout the day.

Thank you Leslie & Scott for allowing me to be a part of your special day.  I wish you both nothing but the best for a long, happy and healthy marriage!

Back to Work ~ Ottawa Newborn Photographer

We’ve been on vacation for the last 2 weeks and I now have a mountain of work in front of me!  While it seems overwhelming, it is hard to see it that way when I get to start my day with this little guy!  Meet adorable Baby W

Farley Mowat Public School Mayfair ~ Ottawa Family Photographer

It is that time once again!  Today is Farley Mowat Public Schools 3 annual Mayfair!!

Come on out to the school grounds at 75 Waterbridge Drive in Barrhaven from 10am-2pm today and join in the fun!  There will be games for the kids, a talent show and a bbq and bake sale!  All proceeds will go towards increasing the school’s literacy resources.  It is a great way to take part in the community and improve the educational materials for current and future Farley Mowat students. Win Win!

For the Love of Family ~ Jennifer Bailey Photography

I know I’ve said it before, but I really, truly believe that every family should have their portraits taken together.  Whether it is a photo captured by a friend or family member or a custom photography session with a professional photographer, it really is a gift you give yourself and your family - for generations.  Life moves so quickly and things change in an instant so I urge everyone to stop and capture the moment while it is here.

This is a family I love.  Not just clients, but friends ever since I captured their daughter as a newborn.  I have had the privilege of capturing their moments many times since then and I hope to do so for years to come.

Shiny Happy Baby ~ Ottawa Baby Photographer

Waking up to snow on the ground and still coming coming down, is NOT the way to start the day at the end of April.

Thankfully, I got to meet with this happy girl this morning!  Her smile was all the sunshine we needed.  Just look at her!

I am going to be photographing this lovely family again later this summer – so stay tuned.  Next time Little S’s big sister will be joining us for a full family session!!  I can’t wait!

Nature’s Creation ~ Ottawa Baby Photograper

Babies have to be the most amazing little things ever created!  Pair that up with a stunning spot created by Mother Nature and it could just be perfection!

On a gorgeous afternoon I met J&A and their new little boy for a photo session at Ottawa’s Arboretum.  While not everything is in bloom yet, it is still a lovely setting…and with the weather we’ve been enjoying lately, you can just feel everything coming to life again.  Really a perfect celebration of baby S.

Thank you J&A, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment walking around the park and photographing your beautiful and happy family.  I will be in touch soon!

Rustic Maternity ~ Ottawa Maternity Photographer

I don’t think I could have left this weekend’s maternity session any happier even if I tried!

I met K&A and their very fashionable little L at Stony Swamp.  I was a little worried that they might think I was the crazy photographer, when I suggested an outdoor session in the snow, but K didn’t flinch.  In fact, she embraced my vision with both arms.  She just *got* me.  I don’t think I’ve stopped smiling yet! 

The location was perfect, the temperature was amazing and I had a family who was up for anything!  A photographer’s dream!  So this is going to be a picture overload!

Thanks again guys!  I enjoyed every minute of our afternoon together.

And seriously, can you be any more beautiful?
