Can you believe it?  Where does the time go?

You might remember these two little bitties from their newborn session, just over a year ago now.  And here they are now, a year older, with all sorts of new tricks up their sleeves!  Sitting, smiling, clapping and just about to take first steps.  What an exciting year it has been for mom and dad and I love that they wanted to take the time to capture it all.

So happy to see you all again!  Happy Birthday M&N!

I’ve been photographing these boys for a few years now and I don’t think I’ve ever noticed how crystal clear blue their eyes are!  Maybe it had to do with the handsome blue sweaters mom picked out for them!  I love a cohesive look in family pictures and Momma A always does a great job, but this blue just took it to a next level for me.  So perfect in everyway.

Literally!

The leaves floated down from the trees as if they were snowflakes!  It made for such a beautiful backdrop for a fall family session.  I don’t think we could have asked for a nicer day.  I spent the afternoon with the M family at the Cumberland Heritage Village Museum.  We wandered, we played, we posed and we were silly!  It was heaven.  And it was Miss C’s birthday to boot!

And you know it is going to be great fun when mom and dad request a shot like this!  They were just as silly as their girls!

They’re back!

I love when I get emails from past clients announcing a new baby on the way.  When families let you into their lives during such an amazing time, I can’t help but share in their excitment and anticipation for the second time around!  It really is a wonderful job.

So when J&S let me know baby number 2 was on the way, I was over the moon.  Not only did I get to catch up with them AND capture the belly bump, but I was going to see Miss S again, in all her toddler glory!  And let me tell you see didn’t disappoint!  She is as spunky as I expected her to be….and any kid who can sing the batman theme song (you know…na na na na na na na na na na na na, BATMAN!) is pretty cool in my books!

After L&J’s family session, we met up with the rest of their family for a big, giant, cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents session!!  It was a lot of people, but also a lot of fun!

This session was a wish of Grandma’s.  As they live in different cities, she really wanted a portrait of her entire family and the two of them with their grandkids.  While I was photographing her and her husband, she told me they had been married for 40 years.  Isn’t that amazing?  I let her know that what they created together in the last 40 years is nothing short of incredible.  Two wonderful boys, with gorgeous families of their own.  How can you not be proud?

G&R, thank you for entrusting me to capture your family.  I hope you had fun and can now fill your home with special memories from the warm, sunny afternoon we had.
