I got to spend a wonderful Saturday afternoon with brand new baby B and his amazing parents.  At just 5 days old, I thought we’d be in for an easy session.  Usually at day 5, baby is able to fill his tummy and fall into a deep and peaceful sleep, but baby B had other plans!  He just wanted to snuggle down with mommy, which is totally understandable – she is his world!  Nevertheless we captured some beautiful images, which I know mommy and daddy have been waiting for very patiently.

Thank you A&J for inviting me into your home; I felt welcomed immediately.  You are 2 of the most relaxed first time parents I have ever met and I know B is lucky to have you as his Mommy & Daddy.

Isn’t mommy GORGEOUS!?

Just look at B’s smoochey lips! So adorable!

I tried something a little different with this one. I just couldn’t get past the classic feeling of it.  It screamed out for a timeless edit and I think it worked nicely!  Can’t you feel love?

It isn’t a secret that I love to photograph newborns.  I love how small and delicate they are, how bendy they can be, how they smell….ah heaven.

But I also LOVE babies.  My littlest is now 4 months old and at this age, I find their little personalities are really starting to develop.  She interacts with everyone and is so expressive!  I love it!

If you missed out on capturing your newborn, don’t worry.  Look at these!  Babies are great at any age!

And this hat is made by a wonderful local vender.  Check out her Loopy 4 Ewe shop on etsy!

If you are considering family portraits now is the time to book your session!  October and November are filling up fast.  Please note that November 22nd is the last day for portrait sessions to ensure prints are delivered to you in time for Christmas.

There are still a few spaces available for our Fall Mini Sessions at the Arboretum.  This is a beautiful time of year to have your family’s portrait taken – and to save a litte money too!   (plus they make GREAT Christmas gifts!)
