Urban Toddler ~ Ottawa Children’s Photographer

Along with the beautiful sunny and warm weather in Ottawa this past weekend, came my first outdoor urban session of the season!  I thoroughly enjoyed chasing Mr. C around the market and capturing some wonderful images for his family.  He was extremely inquisitive and always on the go, but show me a toddler who isn’t!  I knew all the running at catching would be worth it!

This is probably my favourite of the day!  I have a thing for black and white photography – but having a cute little boy in the photo definitely helps!

A Fine Mess Birthday! ~ Ottawa Children’s Photographer

I am now the mother of a 4 year old.  How did that happen?  I know I say this every year, but every year it seems to sneak up on me and the reality of time marching on hits me square in the face!

Now that she is 4, birthday parties are a totally different.  She has real “friends”, not just other kids that she plays beside.  They have “real” conversations, “real” squables and “real” fun with each other.  With this in mind we really wanted to give her a party that she and her friends would truly enjoy together.  This is why we decided on A Fine Mess in Barrhaven!

A Fine Mess isn’t just a craft supply store – but a studio too!  They host birthday parties for all ages and the guest of honour can choose what they would like to do – painting, beading, scrapbooking!  The sky is the limit!  We decided on painting and because it was Easter weekend the kids painted chicks on their canvases!  They turned out great and I’m so proud of them!

Worth the Wait ~ Ottawa Newborn Photography

It was a pleasure to meet M&L’s beautiful little girl A last week – even though she made them wait.  She went past her due date and then made them wait to bring her home from the hospital.  But it was all worth it.  Just look at her!  Beautiful!

On a side note, I haven’t made things any better by making you wait for your sneak peek!  So sorry!  I have a number of blog posts to catch up on – long weekends will do that to you!
