Bitty Baby Boy ~ Ottawa Newborn Photography

I’ve said it before – and I’m sure this won’t be the last time – but, I love my job!

It is always such an honour when someone chooses me to be their newborn photographer.  Not only do I get to surround myself with a brand new baby and itty bitty baby things, but I get witness some of the first few moments of a new mom and dad.  Parents in the making.  Their excitement, their love, their joy…it is contagious and wonderful to be around!  N&E were no exception.  Baby S is clearly the center of their world and I was thrilled to be part of if, if only for a morning.

Thank you N&E for inviting me into your home.  Enjoy every moment with that handsome man of yours!

The Waiting Game ~ Ottawa Newborn Photography

There were many many people waiting for the arrival of this baby, but none more so than Mom and Dad!  Baby M made everyone wait an extra 9 days past his due date, but really, when they are as cute as this, the waiting is worth it!

You may remember Mom’s maternity session – click here for a reminder!  She purchased the Belly Bump to Baby package as a surprise gift for her husband.  However, after seeing the maternity proofs herself, she could’t wait to share with him!!  So Dad joined us for M’s newborn session.  I’m so glad he did as I *love* daddy and baby shots!

Thanks again K&M!  It was great to spend the afternoon with 2 fellow Queen’s grads and to photograph your little peanut.  He is certainly a keeper!

Back to Work ~ Ottawa Newborn Photographer

We’ve been on vacation for the last 2 weeks and I now have a mountain of work in front of me!  While it seems overwhelming, it is hard to see it that way when I get to start my day with this little guy!  Meet adorable Baby W

Day 7 ~ Ottawa Newborn Photographer

This past weekend was a long weekend here in Canada and what a way to kick it off with the handsome and adorable Mr. E!!

I spent another wonderful evening with J&D.  I didn’t know how we could possibly top their maternity session that I was so in love with.  Well, ok, that is an exaggeration…I knew their newborn would be a million times better and he didn’t disappoint!  Mom & Dad have been very patient waiting for these, all long weekend in fact, so without further ado….

Mom had this old box, which I knew right away we would HAVE to use!!

Thanks again J&D for having me into your home and allowing me to capture your little man. He is beyond precious and I enjoyed every minute. (and my first taste of caribou!)

The Tale of One Baby ~ Ottawa Newborn Photographer

It truly amazes me how every baby comes into this world in one of two ways, yet their birth stories are always so different!

Remember K&A and their amazing maternity session?  Well at the time of our meeting, they thought they were just a month away from meeting their new little bundle of baby.  But oh no!  Little E had other plans!  She made her Mommy & Daddy (and sister) wait and wait and wait! For another 9 days!  But in reality, when they arrive this perfect and beautiful and healthy, it is all worth it!

And let’s not forget Big Sister L!! 

And since Mom & Dad both work for high tech companies, they have a little *thing* for gadgets…especially Dad.  I can just picture her like this for real, in oh, 15 years or so!

Nature’s Creation ~ Ottawa Baby Photograper

Babies have to be the most amazing little things ever created!  Pair that up with a stunning spot created by Mother Nature and it could just be perfection!

On a gorgeous afternoon I met J&A and their new little boy for a photo session at Ottawa’s Arboretum.  While not everything is in bloom yet, it is still a lovely setting…and with the weather we’ve been enjoying lately, you can just feel everything coming to life again.  Really a perfect celebration of baby S.

Thank you J&A, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment walking around the park and photographing your beautiful and happy family.  I will be in touch soon!

Don’t Call him Late to the Party! ~ Ottawa Newborn Photographer

This little guy made it to the New Year’s Eve Party just in the nick of time!  With only a few hours to spare, hansome Mr. R is officially my last newborn of 2009.  And what a great birthday to have -there is sure to be a party every year!

I spent a wonderful afternoon with T&J and baby R in their home in Toronto.  It was great fun for me as J and I went to high school together – although a few years apart.  I always enjoy seeing old friends become parents.  On one had it makes me feel old, but on the other, it reminds me how far we have all come.  At just 6 days old, R has made T&J parents and it is a role that clearly suits them well.

 This session was a gift to them from some of their close friends and I truly hope it is something they will treasure for many years to come.

Meet Baby K!  He has got to be one of the most sound sleepers I’ve had in quite awhile.  He was just a dream to photograph and had the sun not started to set, I probably would have kept going!

It is Raining Babies! ~ Ottawa Newborn Photographer

As I mentioned before, I was convinced there was something in the water 9 months ago!  It seems like I’ve been photographing newborns every other day!  Then someone pointed out to me – 9 months ago = Valentines.  Ah! That would explain a few things!  So continuing with that math – Valentine’s Day 2008 = NEWBORNS!!

Next up, Baby A.  Remember her amazingly prepared mom?  She now has her little girl to hold and love.

And not to be left out – Proud Papa!

Ottawa Newborn Photographer ~ Sweet Baby Girl

I’m a little behind on my blogging these days.  It seems that this is the season for newborns – and there are only more to come!!  There must have been something in the water 9 months ago!

First up though, meet adorable baby M.  Is she the most adorable little thing?  Clearly she is already the apple of mommy and daddy’s eyes.  I’m sure their love for her will grow just as she does – bigger everyday!
